Network Level Authentication is turned on

Quick Fix

If you are having problems connecting to your remote Host because Network Level Authentication has been turned on. You can download and run the registry fix attached to resolve the issue.

You can find the attachment at the end of this article.

Manual Fix

Please note, incorrectly updating the registry can cause permanent damage to your computer. If you are unsure, please use the Quick Fix registry file or contact the MyQuickCloud support desk. MyQuickCloud cannot be held responsible for any errors caused due to manual registry changes.

If you would like to perform a manual fix, please follow these instructions:
  • Go to Start then Search
  • Search for regedit and open the Registry Editor as administrator
  • Navigate to the following Key:
    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\RDP-Tcp
  • Change the UserAuthentication value to 0 
  • Restart the computer
